Golden Brazilian Moray Eel from Brazil
Medium size – Maximum length 60 cm (23.6 in)
Yellow overall with irregular black markings or brown spots
This rare yellow color variety was once thought to be a distinct species known as Gymnothorax flavopicta.
Goldentail Moray is a hardy aquarium inhabitant and is less aggressive than many other moray eels.
It can be a threat to smaller fish and invertebrates, however can be kept with cleaner shrimp if introduced to the aquarium first.
